HOW IT ALL BEGAN!

A first-born child that grew up to becoming a seasoned business woman and a social entrepreneur. By the age of twenty, Percy was already married, raising their two boys, managing her home and supporting her husband in building his business, left her with little time of her own, which compelled her to put on hold her studies towards a bachelor’s degree in Law.

In 2010 she joined her husband’s company as a public relations and governance personnel . In 2011, she co-founded a Foundation aimed at supporting students with their tuition fees together with her husband. During her tenure in the company, she allowed herself to absorb and learn as much as possible about the business industry. She decided to enroll herself for a short course in Business writing at the University of Pretoria and for a course in Policies, Procedure, and Regulations in the workspace with SALG. This proved to be one of the smartest decisions of her life because little did she know that all that she had learned would come in handy very soon.

Percy’s love of “all things pretty” made it easy for her to start her own business. In 2013, Sweet Occasions was born. An eventful and challenging Wedding/Events Business that grew robustly and successfully.

The family welcomed two beautiful daughters during 2008 and 2009 which has made their family life even more eventful and an absolute bliss. Leila Brides, a wedding gowns and special occasions studio, which was inspired by their daughters love of fashion.  An idea of creating a one-stop shop for her clients has always been one of her priorities.

In 2016, she started a nails and beauty business, The Bridal Beauty Bar, which later became Carlton Nails, this was after listening to a lot of requests from her clients looking for that exclusive and unique touch.
